Limited Editions & Authenticity

Each fine art print by Dorčáková Art is created as part of a carefully defined limited edition. The number of available prints is determined in advance for every size and will never be increased once the edition has been released.

Limited Editions

Each print size forms its own separate edition:

A5 — 200 prints · A4 — 50 prints · A3 — 25 prints · A2 — 10 prints

Every print is individually numbered and hand-signed by the artist, Ingrid Dorcak.

The edition number identifies the individual print within its size. For example, 7/25 means that the print is number seven in an edition limited to twenty-five A3 prints.

Once all prints in a particular size have been sold, that edition is permanently closed and will not be reprinted in the same format.

Fine Art Paper

All prints are produced on Hahnemühle Photo Rag® Bright White 310 gsm, a premium 100% cotton fine art paper.

Its smooth surface and bright white tone allow the artwork’s colours, contrasts and fine details to be reproduced with clarity while preserving the visual character of the original painting.

Hahnemühle is a German paper manufacturer whose tradition dates back to 1584 and is internationally recognised for producing professional fine art papers.

Certificate of Authenticity

Prints in A4, A3 and A2 sizes are supplied with a signed Hahnemühle Certificate of Authenticity.

The certificate includes information about the artwork, the artist, the print size and its individual edition number. It should be kept safely together with the artwork, as it forms an important part of the print’s provenance and value.

A5 prints are individually numbered and hand-signed by the artist but are not supplied with a separate Hahnemühle Certificate of Authenticity.

Original Artworks and Fine Art Prints

An original artwork is a unique, one-of-a-kind piece created directly by the artist. Only one original version of each painting exists.

A fine art print is a high-quality reproduction created from the original artwork and released in a strictly limited number of individually numbered and signed copies.

The creation of a limited-edition print does not change the uniqueness or ownership history of the original artwork.

Caring for Your Print

To help preserve the condition of your print:

avoid direct sunlight and excessive humidity,

handle the paper only with clean, dry hands,

do not touch the printed surface unnecessarily,

use professional framing materials suitable for fine art paper,

keep the Certificate of Authenticity in a safe place.
